WIC Symposium on Coordinated Governance of Frontier AI Safety Risks

On 15th July 2026, at the Conference Hall of Zhongguancun Exhibition Center, Beijing, IAGA’s chair John Higgins delivered an opening keynote at a Symposium on Coordinated Governance of Frontier AI Safety Risks, organised by the Beijing Institute of AI Safety and Governance.

John set out the requirements of front-line organisations from global AI governance and explained how interoperable, standards-based governance could be a spur to good economic growth and sound social progress based on increased trust in safe and secure AI.
