This forum takes place as part of World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2025 in Shanghai, 26th - 28th July. WAIC is one of the most influential AI events within the global tech, science, and industry ecosystem. WAIC has been held in Shanghai annually since 2018, and brings together the world’s most influential scientists, entrepreneurs, government officials, representatives of international organisations, investors, and startup teams in the field of artificial intelligence. It has become a vital platform and showcase for global AI academic exchanges, industry collaboration, exhibition displays, and partnership negotiations.
Overview
Companies throughout the world are using AI to serve their customers better, reach new markets and reduce their operating costs. Public organisations are adopting AI rapidly too. All these organisations need to put good robust AI governance in place to give customers and stakeholders confidence in their use of AI. This task is made more difficult because the laws, regulations, frameworks and standards for AI are still being developed.
Speakers at this forum will explain their organisation’s approach to AI governance and how they overcame the challenges of coping with regional differences in AI regulation, a lack of global rule-books and incomplete standards.
Attendees joining us at the forum will also gain key insights on the development of laws, regulations and standards from all key regions of the world including China, Europe, Japan and Singapore.
